Greg Ory started life as a blues harmonica player in Sydney, Australia, but was forced to leave the country after a particularly fierce harp duel that ended the career of prominent bluesman Blow Nasty. On the long journey to London aboard a merchant ship transporting illegal fidget spinners, he was introduced to prog rock by a mysterious sailor/master drummer.
In 2009, knowing nothing of the British Canterbury Scene, he somehow formed Conundrum In Deed, a band that was was to be forever hailed as a resurrection of the British Canterbury Scene, demonstrating the power of the collective unconscious.
Two albums and eleven years later he continues to write songs as part of infant folk duo Voz Alta. He speaks Spanish and Japanese, eats most things, and listens to everything from weird jazz to weird country, and some fairly mainstream stuff in between.
